THOUGHTS ON THINGS

"Out of anthropology, ethnology, geology, paleontology, archaeology, as well as history, I have dug up an irrefutable arsenal of facts that Harvard or Yale or cowardly scholarship in our race dare not refute. How can a leadership point the forward way that is utterly ignorant of the past?" [DRUSILLA DUNJEE HOUSTON]

"This is but a mere feeble effort in saying: Without you, African/Black mother, there would have been no us--African/Black fathers, sons and daughters. Do we need to say any more African/Black mothers, our own true goddesses! Let us praise you to the highest, telling the world about your righteousness. Let us tell the entire universe about your sacredness African/Black woman. [Yosef A.A. ben-Jochannan]

"A mind attacked and conquered is guided easily away from the paths of its own soul." [Ayi Kwei Armah]

 I

These are not Afrikans who prefer "any" other women over their own Women.  The cognitive culture or culture in their head is Euro-Asian.  They think, act and are in all respects not Afrikans but are as Frantz Fanon said Black Skins with White Masks.  They like many of our people both in the Diaspora and on the Continent have thoroughly internalized all of the oppressors culture, which is exposed in the desire for "equality" with the former enslaver/colonizer.  Their idea of Manhood or better of how to "relate" to the Afrikan woman comes from the former colonizer.  The path of their soul their culture is unknown to them.  Take the example of urban culture which is generally labeled as Black and a part of the "Black Experience". This culture is not Afrikan in any way. As Thomas Sowell points out it is the worst aspects of Southern White Trash culture, he calls them Black Rednecks. Which is what these enslaved entertainers are [atheletes, singers, actors, kwk.] This in itself brings us to another point.  The state of unrelations between Afrikan Women and Men stems from and is the result of systemic domination in all areas of people activity [Economics, Politcs, Law, Religion, Health, Sex, War, Labor,  Education, Entertainment] The lack of Power over ones life. The very fear of Power and as John Henrik Clarke states the lack of knowledge of how to weld it and use it; no self-reliance. Without the power of self-definition or no control of the domain of discourse.. the very definition of the problem will be co-opted and shifted in a direction which leads away from the path that Afrikans must tread in order to regain sanity.

In order to have 1. Increased financial strength; 2. Increased emotional security for the children; 3. Opportunity to leave a legacy for future generations, we must center and accept ourselves as Afrikans in Mind Body and Spirit; come to the realization that Success as defined and maintained by the current social system is contrary to our needs, as the Honorable Elijah Muhammad put it we must "Do For Self" and this entails understanding that we have a revolutionary destiny which does not include assimiliating into prevailing conditions but transforming them. We must gain control of the domain of discourse and shape the dialogue in our interests; moving the dialogue into thought and then conscious action. And these are only beginnings.

The Willie Lynch Letter itself is not a historical document.  It is ficticous; however, the conditions which it describes for instance color division, gender division, age division, and the relating of "breaking" an Afrikan to that of breaking a horse are all based in actual Enslavement era practices.  Someone culled the varied sources, and cobbled together the Willie Lynch piece.  In the Enslavement era journals of Plantation owners similar practices are written a good starting point would be to read some of the work of John Blassingame or Kenneth Stamps book "The Peculiar Institution." Also, excellent are Mwalimu Baruti's "Kebuka" and the 1971 documentary movie "Goodbye Uncle Tom" is another source as it to is based on actual Plantation and Medical Journals, Diaries, autobiographies from the period kwk., from the period. Another source is bibliography and notes section of the Nation of Islams books The Secret Relationship of Blacks and Jews.

It is one thing to level a charge of BS it is another to state the specifics of the charge. To not specifically state the problems that one has with a point of view is to engage at an elementary level in the art of debunking. Our actions words must always be that of reconstruction of the Afrikan reality.  If we reach points of disagreement we should humbly engage in the art of Constructive Criticism so as to determine the basis of the disagreement is it based on interpretation of historical events, is it based in disagreement over the premises of arguments [ideas] or is it steeped in the use of the same word or words without attaching similiar meanings.

"No pedagogy which is truly liberating can remain distant from the oppressed by treating them as unfortunates and by presenting for their emulation models from among the oppressors. The oppressed must be their own example in the struggle for their redemption." -Paulo Freiere

V

At the moment that the oppressed become their own example...they regain their humanity and see the distinct path that they must follow.  With the oppressor as model they end up pursuing a path which leads to the maintenance of their condition, as that is the role of the oppressor. When they become their own model, they are now on the path that is quite revolutionary for to change their own status brings them into direct conflict with the oppressor. Hence the centrality of education to the system of domination in all areas of people activity...economics, labor, law, war, religion, education, politics, sex, entertainment, and health.

Afrikan Peoples of Afrika, the America's, & Asia have been in a perpetual state of Economic Depression, since 1444. From then until now we have existed in survivalist mode undergoing sociological, psychological, political, economic and spiritual domination and impoverishment. The current economic downturn is but a skirmish prior to a battle in a war that we have forgotten we are in.

1444: Portuguese explorers reach the mouth of the rivers Senegal and Gambia. The first European slave market for the sale of African slaves, the Mercado de Escravos, opens in Lagos, Portugal. Portuguese caravel lands 235 slaves at Algarve, Portugal.

1492: Collapse of Moorish Political & Economic power on the Iberian Peninsula.  Boabdil, the last Moorish King of Granada, surrenders his city to the army of Ferdinand and Isabella after a lengthy siege, ending the 10-year Granada War and the Reconquista which lasted almost 800 years. Christopher Columbus is in Alhambra, and sees the Moorish king come out of the city gates and kiss the hands of the Spanish king, queen and prince. Death of Sonni Ali Ber founder of Songhay Empire and ascendance of Askia [the Usurper] Muhammad.

1591: Morroccan invasion of the Songhai Empire. From this point forward the differentials in military technology would lead to a 4 centuries long reversal in Afrikan political, and economic fortunes.

Racism and ignorance are symptoms of the problem.  As the Brother Minister and several Afrikan scholars [Amos Wilson, John Henrik Clarke, Asa Hilliard], along with Black Nationalists [Chinweizu, Steve Biko] and Revolutionaries [Amilcar Cabral, Thomas Sankara] of all stripes have stated a clearer definition of the problem is a lack of power which came about as a result of conquest and its results: colonization, enslavement and neo-colonization. And now currently residing in spaces created and controled by others. With institutions which produce alienated, and schizoid mentalities. The means of maintaining the current socio-economic and sociopolitical power arrangements [relationships] is the perpetuation of ignorance and the institutions of racism. It is merely one tool among many to keep the befuddled masses befuddled.  The thinking which created the problem was a Euro-Asian desire of power over the so-called other through among other means the violence of conquest.  The thinking which will alleviate or solve the problem undoubtedly will/does involve violence. Self-preservation violence.  To borrow a parable, just because I use violence in defense of myself against someone who seeks to kill me, doesn't make me a murderer.

IF YOU ARE IMPOVERISHED AS A RESULT OF ECONOMIC VIOLENCE/GENOCIDE, AND MILITARY ENLISTMENT IS YOUR ONLY VIABLE MEANS OF EARNING A SUSTAINABLE LIVELIHOOD, THEN YOU HAVE BEEN MANUVERED/MANIPULATED INTO BECOMING A MERCENARY. EVENMORESO, IF YOU ARE A CHILD [17, 18, 19, YEARS YOUNG] IN THIS DEPLORABLE SITUATION THEN YOU HAVE BEEN MANUVERED INTO BECOMING A CHILD SOLDIER!

THE MYTHOLOGY OF YACUB AS PRESENTED BY THE HONORABLE ELIJAH MUHAMMAD TEACHES THE LESSON OF THE MILLENIAL PLAN OF PEOPLES WHO CLASSIFY THEMSELVES AS WHITE. LOOK AT THE HISTORY OF EASTERN ETHIOPIA [INDIA] AND THE ARYAN ESTABLISHMENT AND ENFORCEMENT OF THE CASTE SYTEM WITH THE ULTIMATE GOAL OF ERADICATING [GENOCIDE] THE DRAVIDIANS; LOOK AT THE WESTERN PUSH FOR POPULATION CONTROL THROUGHOUT AFRIKA; CONSIDER THE ARAB DEPOPULATION PROGRAMS IN UPPER EGYPT AND IN THE SUDAN; OR THE WESTERN DEPOPULATION PROJECTS IN THE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF THE CONGO. WITH MYTHOLOGY ALWAYS CONSIDER THE LESSON BEING BROUGHT FORTH AND DO NOT GET CAUGHT UP IN THE SO-CALLED 'ABSURDITIES' OF THE MYTH ITSELF!

THE WAR OF CONQUEST BETWEEN ARAB ISLAM AND EUROPEAN CHRISTIANITY AGAINST AFRIKAN TRADITIONAL RELIGION/CULTURE IS A WAR OF GENOCIDE DIRECTED AT THE AFRIKAN WOMAN THE ROOT AND THE FRUIT.  GENERALLY SPEAKING AFRIKAN TRADITIONAL SPIRITUAL SYSTEMS ARE FEMALE GUIDED. SO THE WAR OF GENOCIDE IN ITS BEGINNINGS AND NOW IS AN EFFORT BY THE ISLAMIC IMAMS AND CHRISTIAN PRIESTHOOD BOTH MALE DOMINATED TO ANNIHILIATE THE AFRIKAN TRADITIONAL SPIRITUAL SYSTEMS WHICH ARE GUIDED BY PRIMARILY A FEMALE PRIESTHOOD.
